Your dirty little secret... [Sep. 19th, 2005|11:13 pm]
[emo-tasm | sleepy]
[stellar grooves |All American Rejects - Dirty Little Secret]

So I stumbled across this cool site...

http://postsecret.blogspot.com/

The site is a collection of creative postcards that people send to the postsecret address to say something 'out loud' they wouldn't normally say. Supposedly the postcards are all real and express some pretty interesting things about people. The website has gained attention lately because some of the postcards were featured in the new All American Rejects video "Dirty Little Secret". An interesting site with an interesting concept. Check it out.

A money post...followed by some new music. [Sep. 8th, 2005|12:06 am]
[emo-tasm | confused]
[stellar grooves |Bloodhound Gang - Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo]

Although I know I'll be told this isn't true to a point...some things would just be so much easier if I had more money. *sigh* I just hate feeling like money is a hinderance in any way! I think we'll just chalk today up to a bad day. I was just in a crappy mood today, but I didn't want to say anything. I just wanted to be comforted, but I didn't want to be a burden :-( These feelings always go away as I sleep...

In music news...
The new single from Bloodhound Gang called "Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo" is pretty good. Raunchy and random yet good!

I also found two new bands that I like. Neither are major acts....just some groups that are gaining a little momentum! Check them out for yourself:

Horrible [Sep. 1st, 2005|08:51 pm]
[emo-tasm | shocked]

A woman I work with went to New Orleans for vacation with her husband...we just got an email today saying somehow we found out she is at the Superdome in the downtown area. After seeing the pictures on TV all day I feel horrible. I can't imagine what she's going through. The email said our company is going to pay to get them back to Michigan once they get to the Astrodome in Houston. Also, they are going to pay for a round trip ticket so that her father can go to Houston to get her.

The more I see on TV, the more pissed off I get. WHERE THE FUCK IS BUSH!? He was on a TWENTY NINE DAY vacation and decided to come back to give his minimal shit help. The secretary of state just came back from vacation TODAY after seeing a comedy on Broadway last night. 60% of New Orleans population is black and 30% are under the poverty line. Bush doesn't give a shit about anyone except the rich and white of America. We are fighting Vietnam 2 in Iraq while one of our major metropolitans has been deemed unhabital with the mayor telling everyone they need to leave. The troops need to come home and help OUR citizens. If nothing else, Bush needs to do something to give more help to New Orleans NOW...the people there can't survive much longer. The fact that such a tragedy with such little help can happen in 2005 in a major city in America should be VERY disturbing to anyone who is reading this. God forbid there was a multi-city large scale terrorist attack. This event shows that we would not be prepared. It would probably throw the country into chaos. Argue all you want, the choices weren't great between Bush and Kerry, but Bush is an idiot. Anyone who defends him should be shot. Who cares about republican and democrat labels...just look at the evidence...TURN ON THE TV!

I'm sickened by everything about this country right now. The system failed and the government is hardly helping. Maybe there would be more of an effort if Katrina hit the Hamptons...or Crawford...

Today was a good day. I had fun with a bunch of people from work...dinner then bar/bowling downtown. Weeee! I was kinda sad because I knew that everyone wasn't having as much fun tonight. I really hope the rest of this weekend turns out to be enjoyable with some very good bonding time. It's been a long while since I had some quality one on one time that wasn't interrupted by a job or family or just the daily grind, and I'm quite excited about it. This weekend looks promising and I hope it's just full of surprises! I've just been looking forward to the time I'm going to spend this weekend so much that I hope all goes well!

Chris...[info]theg00dfight...I am very glad I got to meet you and spend the time I did with you in Chicago. Though there may have been misunderstandings, I definitely consider you a friend. I only wish I could have gotten to know you better, but I know we can always talk online. Good luck with the future...maybe we'll meet again one day if we all move to Chicago!

I had a REALLY good time tonight. The party was fun and just what I needed. You know it's a good party when you have that Taco Bell craving afterwards (my limited drinking hit me harder than usual!). Thanks Shannon and Bill for inviting me over! Oh and yea, I'll take my title now as supreme trivia being of the universe! BWAHAHHAHAH

P.S. I want your series 2 Tivo unit. I'm going to put it in my pocket and walk out with it one day.....!

The fourth of July was less than stellar this year. Due to plans being cancelled at the last minute, though, I got to learn a lot more about Adam as a person. Yay for talking and expressing! LOL

Yesterday was a boring day at work. I was tired all day, but I headed out to poker night anyway more in a show of support than anything. Support for what you ask? Support for Jessi's low alcohol tolerance! (kidding!) After poker...let's just say I had a great night. An amazing night... Thank you so much. It was perfect!

There are great times to come boys and girls. Just you wait!

[stellar grooves |Bewitched Theme]

I have really really sad news to report. I know some of you were probably expecting it, but for others, like it did for me, this will come as a huge shock....

Bewitched was a fucking awful movie. I AM SOOOOO MAD/UPSET/PISSED because I looked forward to that movie for months and after seeing the weird storyline in previews, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. I WAS WRONG. I am a HUGE fan of the original show, so I just wanted this movie to be good, but alas, it sucked. Adam and I could not believe the horror that was this movie. The horrible feeling it leaves you with makes you feel like you just had a huge fight with the person you saw the movie with or makes you feel like your dog just died. The movie is just THAT bad. Thank God they didn't ruin Uncle Arthur...I love his fagginess.

Here are some movies to be seen in the near future that BETTER BE GOOD:

War of the Worlds
Land of the Dead
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Brother's Grimm
Dark Water (maybe)
